About Me

diyttHi! I’m Kim.

If you’re here, you’re probably interested in toning your abs but can’t afford a tummy tuck. You may think it’s a shame you can’t afford one but I’m here to tell you you don’t need to buy a tummy tuck — you can do it yourself.

Without spending money on a personal trainer, a gym membership, expensive exercise equipment, or risky surgery, I was able to get flat abs. And I’m here to share how I did it along with tips and helpful information to help you get the abs you want.

Here, you’ll read all about what helps me and what doesn’t. This site chronicles everything I’ve learned from my fitness journey. I’ve lost some 40 pounds over the years, and the biggest surprise with losing weight was my homemade tummy tuck! My abs shaped up with a combination of cardio and core moves. I never knew they were there!

It’s a continuing journey because it’s not about just having abs — it’s about being healthy, strong, and confident.

I’ll share what I learn along the way because my hope is to inspire you to get the body you want.

Fitness begins in the mind and once you get your mind right, you’ll be amazed at far you will go.

With a little discipline, you can see results like the ones below — without surgery.

A little bit more about me… I’m a long-time vegetarian. I eat a plant-based diet 80% of the time. I avoid sugar, simple carbs and fried foods. I don’t think you can out-exercise a bad diet. If you eat too much crap, you will struggle to lose weight.

I’ve always enjoyed aerobics, and I’d rather work out in my living room than in a gym. I like a challenge, which makes working out kind of fun for me. I always try to do better than I did the day before.  I’ve never attempted serious strength training until I started p90x, of which I completed two rounds. I love, love, love stretching and I’m working on my flexibility so I can perform yoga with grace instead of grunts! My two favorite fitness folks are Jillian Michaels and Tony Horton. I want Jillian’s arms/shoulders and Tony’s enthusiasm. That’s not asking for too much, is it?

Obligatory disclaimer: I’m no doctor and any information shared on this website should not be taken as medical advice.

However, I want you to know you already have everything you need to get the body you want.

Do It Yourself Tummy Tuck is a work in progress – please visit often as I continue to build it up in my spare time.

Thanks for visiting!

Kim
